In February 2013, the C & C Education Foundation Limited (hereinafter referred to as the C&C Education Foundation) is approved as a tax-exempt Charitable Institution by Hong Kong’s Inland Revenue Department. At the same time, donations of money made to C&C Education Foundation will be deductible.

Being an integral part of the society, C&C believes that there is a necessity and an obligation to put in its best effort to take up social responsibility, as sees it as a core value of the company. As early as 2002, C&C has started to pay attention to education in poor areas in mainland China and donated a Hope Primary School in South Guizhou. In 2006, a special C&C Hope Fund was established for assisting the development of basic education in developing areas in mainland China.

As a result of ten-year efforts, the C &C Hope Fund was incorporated as a non-profit-making Co., Ltd., in Hong Kong in 2012, i.e. the C & C Education Foundation Limited. Recently, the C&C Education Foundation has been approved as a tax-exempt Charitable Institution by Hong Kong’s Inland Revenue Department. It will organize more corporate social responsibility and charity events in the future.

In January 2002, C&C donated the C&C Shuiyan Hope Primary School in South Guizhou and provides continuous educational support to the school during the following years.

In 2009, the C&C Education Foundation launched a school building project in North Guangdong. The C&C Building in Long Mu Central Primary School was official opened in June 11, 2010.

The C&C Education Foundation helped to build 10 rural libraries, raising the literacy and enriching the lives of the farmers in rural China. The Launching Ceremony of the Rural Libraries was held during the C&C 30th Anniversary Banquet in Beijing on August 28, 2010.

In order to learn more about how to improve learning environment, the C&C Education Foundation visited Shuiyan Hope Primary School again and donated stationery in March 2011.

At the beginning of 2012, C&C Education Foundation established the “C&C Scholarships (Grants)” to improve students’ living conditions, and to encourage outstanding students and teachers.

To support the education development in the rural China, C&C Hope Fund sponsors the “C&C Scholarship (Grants)” with books and stationery to C&C Shuiyan Hope Primary School on 8 July, 2012 in Guizhou.

In the end of 2012, the C&C Education Foundation launched a school building project in Northeast Guangdong. The C&C Building in Da Fang Jin Cheng Hope Primary School is expected to be completed in the second half of year 2013.
